Rennylea is a fifth generation family grazing business and leading performance Angus seedstock herd supplying bulls for the commercial industry across Australia.
About Us
RENNYLEA Angus is a family grazing business based in the Murray Valley in Southern NSW. Settled by the Corrigan family in 1868, Ruth and Anthony Corrigan are the fifth generation of the Corrigan family to work in the business. Angus cattle were introduced to Rennylea in 1952 alongside merino sheep, Bryan commenced artificial breeding in the herd in 1974, and Rennylea Angus was enrolled in Group Breedplan when it commenced in 1985. Today there are 2,300 recorded cows in the herd, and a total of 4,500 cattle on properties located at Bowna and Culcairn.

The Rennylea Programme
Rennylea is a leading adopter of performance, since 2014 we have genotyped > 10,000 animals and every calf born since 2016, data driven and verified. We collaborate with research institutes creating value through our commercial clients and their clients as the highest angus marbling herd in Australia. Bull Sales are conducted at the sales complex (photo) at “Ellerslie Park”, Culcairn, twice a year in March and at the end of August. Bulls are marketed throughout Australia by auction, sales by contracts and private treaty. Rennylea also markets surplus females and genetic products in semen and embryos.
Early Adopters
We adopted Group Breedplan in 1985 when it commenced and have been committed to performance driven selection in our herd since. You cannot improve what you don’t measure. Rennylea is a leading adopter of performance, since 2014 we have genotyped > 10,000 animals and every calf born since 2016, data driven and verified.
We were the first seedstock herd to hold a video auction in 2004, which at the time was opposed by many in industry. We sent DVDs out with our catalogues for many years! We collaborate with research institutes creating value through our commercial clients and their clients as the highest Angus marbling herd in Australia.
